Meet Bil Hood
Bil Hood helps organizations build stronger communities through strategic engagement, meaningful experiences, and creative storytelling. Over the past three decades, he has worked at the intersection of leadership, philanthropy, media, and community building, helping organizations connect people more deeply to mission and purpose. His work has included helping shape advancement efforts generating more than $200 million in philanthropic support, producing nationally distributed PBS programming, creating large-scale volunteer initiatives, and developing engagement strategies that inspire participation, partnership, and long-term support.
Bil has served organizations ranging from Microsoft, Nintendo, and Disney to universities, nonprofits, churches, and civic initiatives. Whether producing a national television special, leading revenue-generating fundraising events, mobilizing more than 1,000 volunteers for community service, or speaking to leaders about creativity and engagement, his focus remains the same: helping people find meaningful ways to connect, contribute, and belong.
Today, Bil's work explores the intersection of creativity, community, leadership, and engagement through projects, speaking, writing, and emerging frameworks such as The Five P's of Engagement and The Way of Formation.
